Cookie Policy

Which cookies HypeFox uses, who sets them, and how you choose.

Last updated: October 25, 2026

The short version

  • Some cookies are always on: the ones HypeFox needs to work, and our own statistics. They never follow you on other sites, and we never share them or use them for ads.
  • Cookies for our ads come from Meta, TikTok and Google. In the EU, the UK, Switzerland and most other countries they stay off until you say yes. In the United States they're on until you opt out.
  • You can change your choice at any time with “Cookie preferences” at the bottom of every page, or with the button below.

1Your choice

The first time you visit, a banner asks which cookies for our ads you allow. “Reject all” and “Accept all” have the same weight, and “Customize” lets you choose platform by platform. If you close the banner with the ×, only the necessary cookies are used: the same as “Reject all”.

We remember your choice for 6 months on hypefox.app and app.hypefox.app. We ask again after 6 months, if we add a new partner for our ads or change something important, or if you delete your cookies.

2Who we are

HypeFox is a product of Proiset Solutions S.R.L., the data controller for hypefox.app and app.hypefox.app.

This page covers cookies and similar tools (like your browser's local storage). Everything else about your data is in our Privacy Policy.

3Three kinds of cookies

  • Necessary: without them the site or the app doesn't work as you asked: remembering your choice, your language, your login. They don't need your consent.
  • Our own statistics: set and read only by HypeFox, to see which links bring people to us and where people get stuck on our site and app. Never shared, never used for ads, never combined with data from other sites.
  • For our ads: set or read by Meta, TikTok and Google, or sent to them by our servers, to measure our ads and to show HypeFox to people like you. These build a picture of what you do across sites, so they need your consent (in the United States, they stop when you opt out).

4Necessary cookies

  • consenso (HypeFox, 6 months; in the United States an opt-out lasts 13 months): your choice in the banner, and when you made it.
  • lingua (HypeFox, 12 months): the language you picked with the flag.
  • Your login (app.hypefox.app, in your browser's local storage, until you log out): keeps you signed in.
  • g_state (Google, on the sign-in and sign-up pages of app.hypefox.app, 6 months): set by Google's “Continue with Google” button only if you close its “Continue as…” prompt; it remembers that you closed it, so Google doesn't show it again right away.
  • hf_pubblicita (HypeFox, 1 day): only on our team's browsers, to try the ads before they go live.
  • Cloudflare, our hosting provider, may set technical cookies (like __cf_bm, 30 minutes) to protect the site from attacks.

5Our own statistics

  • fonte (HypeFox, 30 days): which of our links brought you here, or the name of the site you came from.
  • visitatore (HypeFox, 12 months): a random code that lets us see the path of a visit through our pages and, if you sign up, link it to your account. Only our servers read it.
  • prova (HypeFox, 12 months): which of the two versions of our free trial you see, so we can compare them.

What we do with them, and how to object, is in sections 2, 3 and 10 of our Privacy Policy.

6Cookies for our ads

What they do. They tell Meta, TikTok and Google which of our ads bring people who visit, sign up, make videos or buy a plan, so the ads reach people who are likely to find HypeFox useful, and fewer reach people who already use it.

What is sent. The steps you take on our site and app: the pages you open, the main buttons you click (like “Start free” or a plan), when a payment starts, when you sign up, confirm your email, make your first and third video, connect a social account or start a free trial with a card, and what you buy (with the amount). With each step: the platform's cookie, the code of the ad you clicked (if you came from an ad), your IP address and browser, your country and, after you type your email or sign in, your email and your account code in coded form (SHA-256 hash): the platform can only match them with accounts it already knows. Never your password, your payment details, or what you write for your videos.

How. From your browser, with each platform's tag (the Meta Pixel, the TikTok Pixel, Google's tag), and from our servers (Meta Conversions API, TikTok Events API, Google's APIs), with the same code for each step so it counts once. Without your consent nothing is sent to a platform, not even from our servers. Accounts and browsers of our own team only go to the platforms' test tools.

Legal basis: your consent (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR and, for the cookies, Art. 122 of the Italian Privacy Code). You can withdraw it at any time; this doesn't affect what was sent before.

MetaFacebook, InstagramIreland · USA company

Meta Platforms Ireland Limited (for the UK, Meta Platforms, Inc.). For collecting the data on our site and app and sending it to Meta, we and Meta Ireland are joint controllers (Art. 26 GDPR). The essence of our agreement (Meta's Controller Addendum): we're responsible for asking your consent and for this notice; Meta handles your requests about the data it keeps (access, deletion and the other rights). For matching and measurement Meta works for us (processor); for what it does with the data afterwards it's an independent controller, under its Privacy Policy.

Cookies: _fbp (90 days), _fbc (90 days, only if you arrived from a Meta ad), and on facebook.com cookies like fr (90 days).

Data outside the EU: Meta Platforms, Inc. in the United States, under the EU–U.S. Data Privacy Framework.

TikTokTikTok for BusinessIreland · data outside the EU

TikTok Technology Limited, Ireland (for the UK, TikTok Information Technologies UK Limited). We and TikTok are joint controllers for collecting the data and sending it to TikTok, and for the reports that measure our ads; TikTok handles your requests about the data it keeps. TikTok is an independent controller when it uses the data to target and improve ads, and works for us (processor) when it matches your coded email. Under its terms TikTok keeps this data for up to 18 months. See TikTok's Privacy Policy and its terms for advertisers in Europe.

Cookies: _ttp, _tt_enable_cookie, ttcsid and ttcsid_ followed by the code of our pixel (90 days), and on tiktok.com cookies like _ttp (13 months). The code of a TikTok ad you clicked (ttclid) stays in our cookie “clic” (section 7).

Data outside the EU: TikTok group companies outside the EEA (for example in Singapore and the United States), under the European Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses.

Google AdsSearch, YouTubeIreland · USA company

Google Ireland Limited (for the UK, Google LLC). Google measures our ads as an independent controller (Google Ads Controller-Controller Data Protection Terms), and works for us (processor) when it uses your coded email to measure better (“enhanced conversions”). Google's tag loads only after your OK (Consent Mode, basic): before that, nothing goes to Google. From our servers Google gets only the steps that count for our ads (signing up, a free trial with a card, a subscription, a payment), with the code of the Google ad you clicked, your coded email and your browser; your IP address only outside the EEA, the UK and Switzerland, where Google Ads doesn't use it. See Google's Privacy Policy and how Google uses data from sites that use its services.

Cookies: _gcl_aw, _gcl_au and the other _gcl_ cookies (90 days), _gcl_ls in your browser's local storage, and on Google's own domains cookies like IDE (13 months).

Data outside the EU: Google LLC in the United States, under the EU–U.S. Data Privacy Framework.

To control the ads you see on the platforms themselves: Meta ad preferences, TikTok → Settings and privacy → Ads, and Google My Ad Center.

7How long we keep it

  • Cookies: as long as written above. Our cookies for the ads (_fbp, _fbc, _ttp, _gcl_aw and clic, which holds the codes of the ads you clicked) last 90 days and are renewed when you come back. When you say no to a platform, we delete its cookies on hypefox.app at your next page; the cookies on the platforms' own domains are theirs, and you can delete them in your browser.
  • On our servers: what we need to match your steps (the codes of the ads you clicked, the platforms' cookies, the IP address and browser of your last visit, your coded email) for 90 days after your last visit, and deleted right away if you withdraw your consent. The steps waiting to be sent, for 90 days; the IP address and browser are removed from them 7 days after they're sent.
  • Your choices in the banner: 25 months, to show that you gave your consent (Art. 7(1) GDPR). If you delete your account, they stay without it.
  • At the platforms: under their own terms (TikTok: up to 18 months).

8If you're in the United States

HypeFox never sells your data for money. But sharing what you do on our site and app with Meta, TikTok and Google to measure our ads and show HypeFox to people like you can count as “selling” or “sharing” under California and other state laws. That's why in the United States these cookies are on until you opt out.

  • To opt out: use “Do Not Sell or Share My Personal Information” at the bottom of every page, or the button in section 1. From then on, nothing goes to Meta, TikTok or Google from that browser and, once you sign in, for your account.
  • Global Privacy Control: if your browser sends this signal, we treat it as an opt-out, and you'll see “Opt-Out Request Honored” at the bottom of the page.
  • We won't ask you to opt back in for at least 12 months.

9Your rights

You can withdraw your consent at any time with “Cookie preferences”, and delete cookies in your browser's settings. Your other rights (access, deletion, objection and the rest), and how to complain to the Italian data protection authority, are in section 7 of our Privacy Policy. For the data Meta and TikTok keep, you can also write to them directly.

10Changes to this page

When we change this page, we update the date at the top. If we add a new partner for our ads, the banner asks you again.
